council interviews were amusing...jialun and eelynn(however u spell it) and a female teacher interviewed me. thanks to yingsze, shumin and gerbert, i was pretty well prepared! yingsze and shumin were like ranting on about how they screwed up their interviews and i was really terrified, since they're such experienced prefects and eloquent speakers...but they prepared me with a few questions so i roughly prepared the answers...i was so nervous i was going to write them down but i decided it wouldn't be sincere..anyway gerbert was a great help cus he gave me a really cool answer to a difficult question, which was something about what the school was lacking in and how i would rectify the problem if i were in council. gerbert said something about the school lacking in culture, and warmth..which i thought was relatively true? :D
anyway the other interesting thing was dance night preview! here are the synopsises of a few of the memorable dances, except for a certain one with jobbernet inside.
there weren't the CD or modern dance SYF dances...cus the teachers choreographed them, and since they were the ones previewing they'd naturally choose their own items. anyway none got kicked out so thats a good thing :D
anyway the first was exco dance...the exco consists of liling sherry bernice geri caroline xinyi hide [thanksjobber] and the dance was pretty impressive...its modern and my favourite part was whereby they stood diagonally and each of them did their own solo for a few seconds...very cool =D
then to our horror it was the guys hiphop...it was pretty disastrous...some people said it was entertaining, but we know it was messy and stuff...hahah. the more noticeable screw ups for me was when i was blocked by ryan once, then dehui started breakdancing before i did my flip, and most of us forgot to pose for 4 counts at a section nearing the end! nevertheless....we got the cheers from most of the audience...after all.. dancing guys are a pretty rare sight ;D
oh sherry's solo was superb also...she managed to captivate the audience with her own choreographed dance..very impressive. :D the fan usage was very sleek..
i also enjoyed the ballet/pointe dances...yingshan was super impressive and all the guys were like owwwwwwwwwwwww how the heck does she do thattttttt. especially her solo bit where she practically walked the entire stage on pointe..
oh yes!! LATIN! it was really funny...hahah. they were really impressive (seeing how hard they practised except for a certain somebodeh) and hide was amusing cus she was dancing by herself..her dance partner wasn't there. the couples were jem/geri, thisnet/bryan, sherry/derrick, angie/chenwei, nat/posy(!?), desmond/dongni. thats all i think. fun to watch...=D
then was the GYM DANCE there were MAJOR screwups but it was generally entertaining i think cus of the way we were so unprepared...the gist of it was there i think but the lack of rehearsals was displayed evidently. furthermore we weren't used to doing with just 3 rows of mats..so it was quite disastrous. it was really squeezy too...the last part of the guys dance, i heard (i couldn't see cus i was standing in front) was awful cus most of the people didn't remember the steps so only a few of us were doing..and i dont know why people kept laughing >=[ flipping in front of everyone was quite fun though...lots of cheers from the audience. the audience is evidently stunt-deprived...wait till they watch proper gym competitions....our stunts are like eating breakfast to the pro gymnasts.
then ther was TAP dance! it was so cute, theresa, joy and liling were super funny...i tell yu PEOPLE IF U WATCH this u'll laugh your head off :D
then there was Chinese Dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D the star of the show was jobbernet. enough said. everyone's gonna shout 'refund!' when she prances around with her orange scarf :D jokingjoking its pretty well choreographed and isn't as act cute as CD usually is...:D
oh yes girls hiphop...i want to cry already.. the guys were like crying when they started doing. they're really coordinated and full of energy its super nice...and i was really impressed with kat..she danced really well ;o chonglin was super too....
and jazz!! hahaa. ms alicia was lagging behind...hahah. but it was super goodd..esp xinyi and geri. the jazz moves seem really tough. and the cartwheel thing's quite funky..ms angie did well too!
ok there was indian dance too which was quite cool also [they can dance well!] but i duno anyone inside so its no fun to comment.
ok thats about it...oh yes for soccer today we ran 3km, took a break for 10 minutes and ran another 3km. totally GG.
SAVE UP MONEY FOR DANCE NIGHT TICKETS!!!!!!! AROUND MID MAY!! ;D

today was a pretty emotional day...all the appeal cases and stuff. i felt really glad for the happy faces i saw outside the general office...even those belonging to strangers. one of the ecstatic ones was kristine..she was really jumping around and calling her mum to tell her she got in =D i'm so happy for you! another elated one was tim yam...he was practically flying into RJ and hugging everyone...hahaha. and he was sweating like mad so after he hugged charles charles was like 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek'. and zul had a very unique victory celebration..junyi used a blue chalk to write on his pants 'i got into RJ', and wrote on the back of his pants 'kiss my ass VJ'. haha so crude -_-
yet, in the other corners were people anxiously waiting for their results...some of whom had already received their results, thus their crestfallen faces. sigh...sometimes u reap what you sow...and even if the appeals didn't rectify the injustice posting has done ande justify the amount of effort u put in for the o's, this isn't the end! my cousin told me that the A levels were the REALLY important ones...and they're the ones employers look at. remember mr hodge told the RI people that ALL the JCs in singapore provide an excellent A level eduction, so maybe people want to stay in RJ just because of the prestige and the familiar faces. well u can always make new friends in other JCs(expanding your social circle) and work really hard in JC to prove that RJ should have accepted you! All the best to everyone in their new environments...and if you didn't work hard enough for the o's...take this as a harsh lesson and learn it well?
o2, as expected was a flop..i think the main reason why the outcome was so appalling was that the J1s had no authority..and being the rebellious teens that we are...we are undaunted by their efforts to make us cheer and play games. i admit i was also really bored and 'sian', but i think what we did really hurt the OGLs..i think they really put in a lot of effort to try and make this event a success, and maybe due to little experience and time constraints, it wasn't as great as the first orientation. but put yourself in an OGL's shoe...you put in so much effort to organize
this event and everyone starts skipping school and going to the canteen for ridiculously long breaks.....how would you feel? i think i've been too insensitive...and i think on the surface the OGLs seem ok...but if i were them i'd be very sad.
i'm staying in 1SO3E! i dunoo why they used our IDs instead of our names this time...maybe they didn't want us to check who was in the same class as us -_-. now my class has 5 girls...cus i know 2 girls didn't make it, and 1 is changing class. celeste, one of those who didn't make it...got 7-3 points. and she didn't make it..thats totally crap...im so sad for her >=[
and we played st gabriel's secondary today...the j1s only, and lost 3-2, which was really quite a respectable score, seeing how their possession was >65%? hahah. our first goal was when damian sent a long ball to joshua then he just outran the fullback and SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEED, then the other was in the 2nd half when yehmin (of all people) sent a long ball to rayner then rayner RAN AND LOBBED OVER THE KEEPERRRRRRRR! i shall not talk about how we conceded the goals :D and today i think we were quite hyped up cus we were called to play for the people who didn't make it..noticeably Leo...sigh..im gona miss his nonsense. he's really a great player :(

hey....thanks everyone for making my birthday such an enjoyable one..my parents couldn't really celebrate it with me because my father left for china on wed, while i had a gym camp on thursday so i didn't see my mum the entire day..on wed i was quite proud of myself, and thankful. when i was coming home from training, my father was waiting for his taxi and i talked to him a while..something i haven't done for a long time :D
anyway..i was quite sad on tues, but i cheered up a little after my family cut a cake for me at night..a strawberry cheesecake. yeah...
on wed, there was SYF prac which went quite okay? we learnt the final few steps of the dance and there was this 'high difficulty' pose which required gosu high bar skills....which laoshi abandoned after kenneth and i were too afraid to attempt it haha.
i had 6 hours to spare until my gym training started. ORIGINALLY I WAS SUPPOSEDDD TO GOOO OUT BUT DUE TO incompetent latin skills........i had to go home in the scorching sun. haha. anyway i didn't bring my work and my gym stuff so i went back, did some work and went for training at night.
the gym people were really nice and they got me a tiny piece of pastry from sweet secrets which was NICE even though i dislike chocolate. training was quite fun even though i got a blister from it..yinjiaolian taught me side somersault twist! though i can't do it properly. haha.
yeah then on thursday! there was guys dance in the morning and it was quite fun...learnt some new steps and everything. there was also a birthday song...sung especially loudly by the ever-enthusiastic hide. thennn we headed off to GYM CAMP! though we had to adjourn all the way to lavender to eat so that david could conveniently stitch his precious soccer boots at some shop above the food centre. hte shops were quite interesting, sold a lot of stuff which interested de hui..think he was looking for a beanie. those funny hats.
then we headed off to tanah merah! all of us were being brilliant and we all waited for the shuttle bus at the wrong bus stop. so when the bus came we were HORRIFIED to see it driving past us and picking up others at another bus stop! jem was ordered to RUUUUUUUUUNNNN but the bus driver acted dao like *someone* and drove off. the girls were impatient and decided to cab, in the process letting out the fact they had to put a cake in the refrigerator. hahaa..it was sweet of them. the guys decided to be kiamsiap and we waited an hour for the next shuttle bus to come :D
the gym chalet was surprisingly fun! it was on the verge of becoming a failure camp when i heard that kenneth and jeremy weren't staying over! none of the rhythmic girls were going either. and OH YES WE LOST THE SOCCER BALL which didn't belong to us anyway but it was still saddening :( anyway some were playing mahjong, watching TV, whiel i decided to play badminton and swim. only the guys swam cuz the girls weren't allowed to go in the pool with their shirts! none of us came prepared to swim, so only the guys swam. it was funn.
then at night we watched HONEY and since lots of us are dancers it was really fun cus we were trying to copy all the cool moves. especially hte last 5 mins of the movie, which peishan was so hyped up about. they are so gooood and we're gonnnna RIPPPPP some stuff for our gym dance :D
after that we went to the bowling place where we played pool...then we came back and they cut the cake for me! it was chocolate, again. yeah..it was really nice of themmm THANK YOU so much for making my bday a memorable one.
then throughout the night we watched movies like secret window which SUCKS, sixth sense which wasn't that scary, and AVP, which was kinda brainless. so i slept at about 4+, but managed to get up the next morning! we all wanted to go for a swim but the pool only opened at 11 -_- so we decided to try to copy the moves from HONEY again. until 11 then we went to swim! several people left during this period...but we did more silly stuff after that. david cooked leftover sausages and nuggets and we went for a picnic! we sat right on top of the rocks in the sun and ate. hahaha. we tried using items to hit down 2 giant spiders on the coconut trees. then there was this moment whereby david asked for a coconut which was near sherry. she asked 'where?!' and i said 'there...that thing on top of yur neck!' =D
after that jem and i wwent for a dip in the pool again! and sherry managed to sneak in too! yeah...then upon going back to the chalet i discovered i was sunburnt :(
thats about it...im at my church friends house now.going to eat dinner soon...thanks everyone for making my bday such an enjoyable one...i really thought everyone forgot about it. thanks all my avid taggers meixian justin thisnet(the most accurate one) yuanchyi jennywa cedric pehpeh siewyi jujubinks angie! and my smsers xiaohui yuanchyi(who gave me a present i already had), yiming jq wenling wei wensi nicole yanrong zhunzhun(s) reuben patty zul kyla pong stacy joshua. And all the gym people [jem nah david jennywa jingheng andy sherry christine yingshan youzi peishan linette clarissa melissa ziying patricia DENISE!!!!] who really played an important role in making my 17th such a memorable one :)
and happy birthday joshua :D u've been a great pal ^_^

helo helo
chelsea are throughhhhhh thats super cool...super exciting match it must've been, and i taped it yesterday. i'll watch it soon!
and finally its the break...i think i need this holiday to catchup with all my school work. physics is okay but i need more practisee, chem's crazy and bio's just alottttt. so i really need discipline to sit down and study!!! but im thankful that i've been doing all my tutorials. and im a bit irritated by my parents cuz they keep complaining i dont do my work but I DO just that they dont see it cuz most of the time im not at home!!
oh and i went to joshua's church yesterday for coffee night, an evangalistic thingy. i was surprised by the small population of the church, but yet i could see the way Christ was working among the people. they were really united, and smiles were going all around. it was really quite a warm atmosphere. the main programme was a decision between games and the movie 'left behind', and due to incompetent planning, most were encouraged to watch the movie. i decided to pity the game planners and joined in the games. it was really a fun experiencee, thanks for inviting zwitt
dance is progressing...okay? the preview dates got postponed thankfully so we've more time to practise. gym dance is doing fine for the guy's part i think. for SYF we've gotta work on our timings and doing things simultaneously, and for the guys dance...its the style we've gotta work on. its really great that the participants in the guys dance are cooperating now...if it were a month ago or so, there'd be a lot of tension. see what a little understanding and forgiveness can do ;D
oh yes i managed to muster the courage to lead worship at SV on thursday. i was raelly unwilling at first cuz of all the unfamiliar faces. in cherith its really different cuz TF's a lot smaller, and i've known the people for ages, so when u lead yur pretty much relaxed. i was so ill prepared jon ong had to print for me the songsheets, and i was also preparing a speech kinda thing the morning before leading! so i was like pacing around and being nervous...occasionally glancing out of the window to attempt to use the 'scenery' to calm my nerves. unfortunately it didn't really work....and right before leading my guitarist, may anne said a prayer with me and i really felt a moment of peace. and everything turned out quite well..and i really hoped the message i was trying to convey meant something to the SV-goers. i'd like to thank junli for encouraging me to take up this challenge...i learnt a lot from it =D luckily someone came only at 7.35. if not i would have kept laughing.
during the holidays im gonna be really busy..with all the dance and gym pracs and gym camps and going out and revision. i hope it'll be a good balance of both fun and hard work.
and yes, a zwitterion is a dipolar ion that carries both a negative and positive charge. some people try to rename themselves with the word and assume its cuteness. obviously it isn't worrrkinggg
this is our God
The Servant King
He calls us now to follow Him
To give our lives
As a daily offering
Of worship to
The Servant King

hey..this week has been pretty fun. but i've been daydreaming more during lectures and everything...and as a result i'm falling behind. fortunately on friday there was a looooooooong break after school. there was supposed to be guys dance at 4 but it got cancelled due to our teacher's superb A level results (so she went to celebrate instead of teaching us -_-). so i had a lonnnng break from 12-7 and i managed to do my physics and chemistry tutorials!! =D the only subject i think im falling behind now is bio,, there's so much junk to remember in cytology, which is the study of cells. in secondary school u learn like really really few organelles...but now...there are like 20 times more...hahah. but its not too bad....its *quite* interesting.
and im blogging cuz the new patch of warcraft is loading. 1.18 GRRRRR. its taking so long.
anyway...we managed to persuade yingjiaolian to let us do our gym dance during gym practice. so we had a little bit of training then we went to practise our dance. its quite fun...but there are only 8 8s of tumbling and 4 8s of dancing. quite little..dont know if we should ask for more.
this morning i went for soccer training and then for SYF dance so i was like really late...i only had about 20 minutes of SYF? haha. and i forgot to inform anyone i was going late, so laoshi was quite angry at me, but i didn't get much of a scolding. she just told me to inform others where i was going, cuz everybody was trying to look for me. ooops.
RJ has been fun so far. im so happy people like my cousin jingqin, jong, are coming and that people like my gym team, angie are staying. i really think the o's are quite a harsh representation of our intelligence. just because we screw up a littleeee and then our future for 2 years is gone. well, the word gone may not be so apt, but for most people i know, not getting into RJ=die. i dont think its the right mindset, yet its a difficult one to change. so for people who didn't manage to get in by CCA appeal, there's still general appeal, and remember...its not so bad if u dont get into RJ! i think the only thing at stake is the prestige...its all so superficial and its something we'll have to overcome.
i've made a lot of really cool friends in RJ, and now during breaks, every few minutes or so im waving hi to a person i know. see...in addition to my RI mates, there's my class, OG, soccer, gym, and dance mates! ;o! i think its fun getting to know people...although many'll come and go, most will leave indelible footprints in our hearts.
and the patch just finished downloading! =D see ya. see, im so obedient, i blogged. thanks for making my life so much more interesting, people =D
